Here is how to match the vehicle to the trip.

Saloon: the default for business and airport runs

A first-class saloon such as a BMW 735i is the right call for one or two passengers with normal luggage — an airport transfer, a client meeting, a hotel-to-office run. It is quieter, easier to park at a busy drop-off, and reads as understated rather than showy, which matters for corporate travel. If your trip is a single passenger or a couple with a couple of suitcases, a saloon is usually all you need.

SUV: more space, more presence

A Cadillac Escalade or GMC Yukon XL earns its place when there are three or more passengers, when luggage is bulky rather than just heavy, or when the trip itself calls for a bit of presence — a wedding arrival, an executive collecting an important guest, a family with strollers and beach bags heading to Palm Jumeirah.
